HOW
DO I...
MAKE
AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointments can be made by telephoning 020 8544 2135 or by calling in during opening hours. Following government initiatives we are currently striving to improve patient access. We operate a combination of appointments some bookable up to two weeks in advance and some bookable on the same day only. Nurses' appointments and all clinics (Family Planning, Minor Operations etc) are bookable in advance. We intend, where possible, to increase the number of clinics run. This is to assist those patients who need to be seen routinely for ongoing chronic disease management. This will, in turn, free additional ‘on the day’ appointments for those patients who are acutely ill and needing to be seen as soon as possible. The practice offers telephone consultations, please ask the receptionist.
Children under 16 should be accompanied by an adult.
If more than one member of your family wishes to be seen, please make a separate appointment for each of them.
Urgent Cases -
Seen daily in the morning
If all the appointments for the day
have gone and you feel your problem cannot wait, we do have an emergency facility
each morning. The receptionist may ask you for some indication as to the nature
of the problem to make sure your case is dealt with appropriately. You will be
seen by the doctor on duty for that day or the nurse if appropriate.
Please only use this service for genuinely urgent problems. Urgent appointments
are for one problem and one person only. Non-urgent matters cannot be dealt with
in these surgeries. If you attend inappropriately the doctor may ask you to phone
for a non-urgent appointment at a later date.
HOW
DO I...
OBTAIN
A HOME VISIT?
Home visits are for people who are too ill to come to the surgery. If you feel
you require a home visit please telephone the surgery before 10.30am, except in
emergencies.
Please give the receptionist as much information as you can, so the doctor can
give your request due priority.
If you can, always come to the surgery where the doctor can see you more quickly
and has access to our full range of medical facilities. If the patient has a fever
or a rash, coming to the surgery will do no harm nor endanger others, but please
inform the receptionist on arrival.

DO I...
OBTAIN
TEST RESULTS?
Please telephone the surgery between 10.00am and 1.00pm.
Results are normally given over the phone, but you may be asked to make a further
appointment to speak to the doctor or nurse in person.

OBTAIN
MEDICAL CERTIFICATES?
A doctor's certificate is not needed for less than seven days off work. This period is covered by a self certificate which is available at reception.
You need to see your doctor if your absence is a week or more, or if you need a private certificate. Unless you are off work for a long time a final certificate is not needed.
